So yesterday I went out on Sea Street again for another 10K run. After two consecutive days of it, I was pretty pooped. Lucky I took Cara’s advice and applied some sunblock, though. Handy stuff.
The after-effects really took me back to last year, when I was preparing for the Montreal Marathon. Run all day, come home tired, crash out (like it or not) at around 9pm. The big difference this time is the super-low distance. 12 miles over a weekend and I’m baked? How much did the Winter cost me?
Well, one thing’s for sure. If my energy went away that fast, I can get it back at around the same speed. I’m taking a recovery day today so I can hit it again tomorrow. Tonight I’ll just sit there and watch Cara exercise at the Soccer Game.
